Undergraduate Symposium Abstract Workshop
1 hour

Intended Audience

Any student who is thinking about applying to the Undergraduate Symposium.

Overview

If you plan to apply to the Undergraduate Symposium, don't miss this class! You'll learn why the selection committee asks for an abstract and what they want from yours. You'll also learn how to make your abstract sound scholarly, smart, and, perhaps most important for this Symposium, appealing to a broad audience. Towards the end of the workshop, we'll look at sample abstracts and read each other's drafts. What better way to spend an hour, just before the Symposium deadline (2/28)?

For more information on the Symposium itself, visit www.learning.wisc.edu/ugsymposium.
