Grammar II:  Grammar and Editing for Style and Clarity

Intended Audience

Anyone wishing to review the basics of English grammar.


Overview

This course will discuss methods of editing aimed at identifying awkward or unclear constructions, and we will talk about the range of editorial "corrections" available to the writer. We will emphasize building a "self-editing" checklist, and will model this process in the class. A solid grammatical background or Grammar I is recommended before taking this course.
