You may call our friendly and knowledgeable telephone staff at 263-1992 to make an appointment for individual instruction or ask questions about our services. Please note, however, that telephone service is only available during limited hours; outside of these times you will hear a recorded message that provides basic information about the Writing Center.
What we can do over the telephone Our telephone staff can assist you by making an individual appointment or by answering general questions about the services the Writing Center offers. What we cannot do over the telephone Because our telephone staff are not writing instructors, they will be unable to answer questions about writing (even quick ones!). If you need assistance with a writing project, call and ask for an individual appointment, or find out about instruction by email. Our telephone staff no longer make class registrations, as we've switched to an entirely web-based registration system. To register for a Writing Center class, go to our list of classes and follow the link for the class you'd like to take. If that class requires registration (and most do), the page will contain a brief registation form for you to fill out. To cancel an appointment by telephone To cancel an appointment, please call 263-1992. This cancellation line is available 24 hours a day. If you must cancel an appointment, please do so at least 24 hours in advance, so that we may give that time to another student.
