Follow-up Survey
The annual follow up survey will be mailed soon. Watch for it early in the New Year. We know your schedules are busy, but please take a few minutes to complete the survey and return it to us. We do appreciate the time and energy you devote to WiSSP and want to hear any comments or suggestions you may have.

Callon-Leonard Award
Dr. Pauli has been informed that he will be the recipient of the 1997 Callon-Leonard Award from the Wisconsin Association for Perinatal Care. That award is given for outstanding contributions on behalf of mothers, infants and families. A principal activity for which Dr. Pauli has received this award is the organization and maintenance of the Wisconsin Stillbirth Service Program. All of WiSSP's collaborators should feel that they share in this recognition.

In This Issue
Exposure during pregnancy to medications, chemicals or other potentially harmful agents is a common occurrence. As health care professionals it is important that we know what is currently understood about pregnancy-related risks with such agents.

This issue’s In Depth article will focus on cocaine exposure and its potential for teratogenic and fetotoxic effects.

Also featured this month, in our Personal Portraits section, is Sandy Stetzer, a new WiSSP friend. Sandy, a regional SIDS coordinator in Northern Wisconsin, is in the early stages of planning a center to provide support for bereaved parents in that region who have experienced pregnancy loss or infant death. Sandy is anxious for ideas and input from those of you in that area. If you have any thoughts or feedback about the possibility of such a center, give her a call (715-848-1457).
