Secure Online Ordering

Welcome to our secure online subscription ordering system. Individuals or libraries and other institutions can subscribe or renew an existing subscription. All it takes is a few minutes and your VISA® card or MasterCard®. To get started right away, click the link below, and you’ll be transferred to our secure server for ordering.

Note: before submitting your order, you’ll have an opportunity to confirm all of the information you’ve entered. Following your order, if you’ve provided e-mail information, you will receive verification that your order was successfully processed.

Activating Your Online Access

In December 2007, we moved our online journal content to HighWire Press in order to provide our customers with the most reliable service. To continue to access your journal subscriptions online, you will need to activate your subscription. The process is quite simple, and is outlined below:

 

For Individuals

1) Go to the Account Activation page

2) Click on "Individuals: Activate your online access"

3) Enter your Customer Number and click on "Submit"

4) Fill in the required fields. You will need to create and enter a user name and password.

5) Click Send Form.

6) You should now have access to all subscribed content. The screen will display a list of the journal titles you are subscribed to.

 

For Insitututions

1) Go to the Account Activation page

2) Click on "Institutions: Activate your online access"

3) Enter your Customer Number and click on "Submit"

4) Fill in the required fields. You will need to create and enter a user name and password for the administrator of your institution's online access. You will need to know your institution's IP address(es).

5) Click Send Form.

6) You should now have access to all subscribed content. The screen will display a list of the journal titles you are subscribed to.

Technical Note

In order to function properly, our ordering system requires that you use Internet Explorer 3.x or higher, Mozilla’s Firefox 1.x, or Netscape 4.x or higher, and have Javascripts and cookies enabled. The cookie our system sets is a temporary session cookie which will be deleted when you close your browser.

 

 

Your Security

The safety and privacy of your personal information is of primary importance to os. We use the latest secure server technology, including 128-bit SSL encryption and secure server certificates. The Press uses the services of ViaKlix to process encrypted credit card transactions, and VeriSign authenticates and ensures a secure digital environment for all transactions. Neither the University of Wisconsin Press or its order processing partners will make available to any other party any of the information we collect as part of your subscription order. Your personal information is confidential and secure. We recommend that you close your browser upon completing any secure credit card transaction to eliminate the temporary session cookie from your system.
