Submitting a Manuscript for Consideration:
Authors should submit articles electronically (either via e-mail or diskette) and submit two hard copies of their manuscript, double-spaced (including notes, bibliography, and citations) and printed on only one side of standard, 8½ by 11 inch, paper. Submission of a manuscript will be understood as an avowal that it presents original work not under consideration for publication elsewhere. The author's name and initials may not appear in the text, either in headers and footers, or on the first or last page of the manuscript, or in any form other than bibliographical citation if the author quotes him/herself. Rather, a letter or cover sheet that provides the author's mailing and e-mail addresses, as well as the title of the submission must accompany the manuscript. Submissions are accepted in either English or Portuguese, but should include an abstract written in the other language (i.e., manuscript in Portuguese, abstract in English). It will be assumed that the author has retained a copy of the manuscript. Accepted manuscripts typically range from 12 to 30 pages. All manuscripts should be formatted either in MLA or Chicago style and use endnotes rather than footnotes.
Book reviews are solicited by the editors and should be submitted in electronic format. The length of book reviews is typically 750 words and must include both the author's name and the full citation of the book being reviewed. Unsolicited reviews are considered only with the prior approval of the editors.
