University of Wisconsin Press Digital Content Information
Digital Journals:
All University of Wisconsin Press journals are available digitally through Project Muse, JSTOR, and, beginning in January of 2008, HighWire Press. Click here to learn more about the UW Press Journals at HighWire.
Digital Books:
The UW Press is in the early stages of creating electronic versions of many of our recent print books. We currently have 93 titles in e-book format, largely drawn from our lists in Judaica, GLBT, African, and Science and Technology Studies.
Buying E-Books:
We currently distribute e-books through Netlibrary and ebrary. NetLibrary and ebrary offer digital library services at the institutional level. They provide MARC records, integration with current library catalogs, and a number of tools for reading and using e-books.
Librarians:
Selected University of Wisconsin Press e-books can be ordered through your NetLibrary or ebrary sales representative. If you have comments for UW Press, or if you have requests for digital content, please email the UW Press Digital Assets Coordinator at digital@uwpress.wisc.edu.
Individuals:
Check with your public or institutional library to ask if they offer e-books and to recommend specific titles that you would like to use in digital format. |
We are not yet able to distribute our e-books directly to individuals, but we are exploring options for providing this service in the future.
Open Access Projects:
The University of Wisconsin Press has been part of a number of Open Access projects. Open Access means that works are still under copyright, but are available to readers in full text.
