Welcome to the UW-Madison web page for transfer students. We are pleased that you are interested in transferring to UW-Madison. You are encouraged to begin planning early and to use the following campus Web resources to answer some of your questions.

Schools and colleges may have additional transfer policies. The following links lead to specific transfer information for the following schools and colleges:

For transfer students from UW System or from WTCS institutions, after you've investigated the transfer information for programs of interest, you may want to investigate how individual courses you've taken transfer to UW-Madison. Use the course Transfer Information System (TIS) to determine course equivalency and how transferred courses MAY satisfy the general education requirements at UW-Madison.
Note that individual schools and colleges may have general education requirements beyond the campus-wide requirements. Attention to these requirements is an important consideration and should be discussed with an adviser.
