In-Services, Training, Workshops

The Office of Child Care and Family Resources sponsors many in-services, trainings and workshops for the campus child care centers and other providers. Some of them are:

Family Child Care Training and Support at University Apartments

  • University Apartments Community Center

This training is for individuals who wish to become certified in-home child care providers for children of enrolled UW-Madison students.

For those interested in caring for children in their home, please contact Lynn Edlefson at (608) 262-9715 or contact Annette Kornell of Satellite Family Child Care at (608) 275-6740 for more information and how to enroll.

Satellite Family Child Care is the accrediting agency for family child care providers. Satellite is a resource for support and information for family child care providers and the children and the families they work with.

Summer Institute

This training is for Early Childhood/Daycare teachers (on-campus, affiliated with campus and community) to maintain their current certification status with UW standards by earning UW-Madison credits.
