New Campus Child Care Initiatives (12–902426)In diverse ways this fund fulfills our greater mission of providing teaching, research and service to the University through child care initiatives. Examples include financial support for new facilities and/or facility updates, pilot programs such as Spanish immersion and initiatives to attract and retain faculty, staff and students. Student Child Care Scholarship Grant (12–900269)This fund directly benefits our student parents by providing financial assistance to qualifying students. The scholarship fund operates independently from the University's Child Care Tuition Assistance Program and the federal Access for Infants and Mothers program. To date, the funds have assisted students facing unusally stressful or emergency situations e.g. medical or mental health issues, natural disasters, and/or change in family structure or dynamics that result in the student parent's inability to sufficiently support child care costs. Connie L. Wilson Center Grant Fund (12902023)
This fund was created to help the UW child care centers meet operational needs. Currently, about 93% of center budgets are spent on staff salaries and fringe benefit costs, with 95% of the centers' revenue coming from parent fees. To date, the fund has provided professional develpment grants for diversity education for center staff, as well as provided digital cameras for all campus programs to improve development recording, assessment and commmunication with families on their child's development.

Classified Staff Child Care Grant (12-90355)This fund was started in 2003 to help eligible classified staff manage the high cost of child care. Each year the fund has distributed a total of $2,000 to 4 - 6 financially eligible parents who work as classified staff for the University of Wisconsin-Madison. How to Contribute
