Examinations / Time Constraints Yes / Yes A sight-proficiency examination in Latin or Greek must be passed before entering the program; passage of an examination in the other language is required within one year of entering the Ph.D. program. An exam in ancient history must be passed before the prelims. The five preliminary examinations should be passed within four years. |
