Specific Courses Yes Candidates in either option must complete one formal course at the 700 level or above; ME 903 (seminar) is required for the first two semesters in residence. |

Specific Credits Yes Candidates completing a thesis must complete a minimum of 24 credits; 18 of these must be formal course credits and 5 must be thesis credits. Candidates in the nonthesis option must complete a minimum of 30 credits; at least 24 must be formal course credits; 9 must be in core ME courses; 3 must be independent study credits.
