Readings from 15th to 17th-century texts featuring the famous "social bandit." 1 credit.

English 795: Graduate readings. The Shaping of History in Early Medieval Britain.

A study of a number of early texts that purport to represent the real history of the people of Britain, from Bede to Geoffrey of Monmouth. 1 credit.


English 950: Graduate seminar. The Discovery and Invention of Old English Literature. 

Taught in conjunction with a Newberry Library seminar on that same topic, running for 10 weeks from January 7 to March 11, 2005.  3 credits.
