If you are majoring in the life sciences, consider pursuing a research project while you are an undergraduate. Most biological majors on campus encourage students to have a directed research experience during their college years. Doing research allows you to apply what you have learned in your classes, to make new discoveries and to develop technical and reasoning skills that will be invaluable in the career path you choose.
