What Is Life? – Scavenger Hunt

Students participate in a field scavenger hunt to collect a variety of specimens, sort living from nonliving, then classify and create a dichotomous key for the collection. This activity is designed to introduce students to the shared features of living organisms, systematics, and biodiversity.
