Biology Interest Groups - Students PageAre you a first semester student at UW-Madison Interested in a biological sciences major? Placed into Math 221? Approved for Chem 109? Register for a BioFIG cluster! What are BIGs?BioFIGS (Biology Interest Groups) offer a seminar-style biology course for your first semester, designed around interesting topics to integrate biology, math, and chemistry. The seminar course is small, dynamic, and supportive -- planned by a team of faculty from all three courses -- to help you prepare for a successful future in the biological sciences. One BioFIG will be offered in 2005, linking Math 221, Chem 109, and a BIG seminar. More information about BIGs objectives can be found on the BIGs Faculty Page. Why Join a BIG? Students Say:
