ARMS: Volunteers
ARMS encourages teachers to involve students in the process of science,
using hands-on, inquiry based activities. This is difficult to do with
one adult in a classroom full of students with varying abilities and
interests. ARMS volunteers serve in a variety of roles to help all students
participate in science. They also help to make student learning more
meaningful by connecting science concepts to the application of those
concepts in the community. ARMS Volunteers include university faculty
and staff, university students in the sciences and science education,
and scientists from business, industry and government agencies.
