Adult Role Models in Science
- ARMS Adult Role Models in Science
- ARMS helps schools make science real and meaningful
- ARMS gives teachers the tools to bring science to life
The goal of ARMS is to enhance science education at the elementary and middle school levels through long-term community partnerships. Children need to interact with adults who are interested, engaged and passionate about science to become engaged themselves. ARMS works to bring scientists and aspiring scientists into schools as role models and also to help teachers and parents to be role models in science. Managed by the UW Center for Biology Education ARMS brings together a variety of community resources, helping organizations to work synergistically to enhance science education.
