II. THE SECOND HALF OF THE CENTURY

1.        The rise of Neoclassicism.
2.        English Neoclassicism.
3.        French Neoclassicism of the third quarter of the century.
4.        French Neoclassicism of the fourth quarter of the century.
5.        German Neoclassicism.
6.        Spanish Neoclassicism.
7.        The English landscape garden.
8.        The English Gothick.
9.        The Picturesque in France.

Requirements will include a midterm, a final, and writing assignments.

Prerequisites: Sophomore standing or consent of instructor
