REQUIREMENTS FOR THE 4TH CREDIT

To obtain a 4th credit in this course, students must attend additional class meetings and complete separate readings and writing assignments for these sessions. One 5-page paper on a topic of your choice will be also due at the end of the semester, but you can start working on it at any time.

Meetings will be from 4:00-4:50 on Fridays in Room L166 Elvehjem, starting on February 7. Attendance will be taken at every meeting. If you are not free at this time, you should drop the 4th credit.

An additional book, Sylvan Barnet's A Short Guide to Writing about Art (7th edition), should be purchased at the University Bookstore. Because this book is used in several Art History courses, it is shelved under "399" rather than our course number.
