Students may receive credit for these courses if they can demonstrate a significant amount of content pertinent to the area of American Indian Studies.  Evidence to be submitted can include letters from instructional staff, course syllabi, reading lists and related material. The determination of whether a particular course shall count toward the credits required for the Certificate will be made by the Curriculum Committee of the American Indian Studies Program in consultation with the Director of the Program.

Additional Requirements: At least one-half (9) of the total classroom credit hours (18) must be taken at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  Of the total classroom credit hours required, only six (6) credits may be taken as Pass/Fail.
